Homework 2

Using your brainstorming from class, write a song. We were all in poetry/drama last semester, so it's basically like writing a poem with music behind it. You can make it about anything you want. You can probably find some melodies on garageband, use the instrumental from one of your favorite songs (keep in mind copyright), or just sing a cappella. If you're not good with words you can compose your own music, which should be mostly your own. We'll be editing your songs on day one, and listening to everyone's songs on day two. Write a short paragraph (5-7 sentences) on your process or about the song in general.

If you need help finding inspiration/need help writing the song:

Homework 1

Over the break, choose a song that is special to you. This song could be anything from what you listen to when you're sad or what you listen to before a big game. Write down the name of the song, the artist, and what it means to you. A short 3-5 sentence paragraph is fine.
OR
You can also put together a playlist, no less than 4 songs and no more than 7 songs, for a certain emotion or something you do daily. For example: If you were in a movie, what songs would be playing in the background? Write down the names of the songs, their artists, and a paragraph on why you chose certain songs.

Note: These songs have to be appropriate.
